Major-General Igor Konashenkov told reporters of the successful launch of ballistic missile Bulava at the White Sea.

Nuclear strategic submarine Vladimir Monomakh, under the command of Captain Aleksandr Nadezhdin, launched ballistic missile Bulava from the White Sea targeting the Kura test site in Kamchatka.

The launch was conducted from the submerged position as part of the program to test arms and life support systems of nuclear submarine Vladimir Monomakh, said Konashenkov.

"The parameters of the flight trajectory of the missile were performed normally, the warheads successfully arrived at the Kura test site in Kamchatka," he said, adding that the actions of the commander and the crew of the submarine were assessed as professional and competent.
