The Russia-EU summit will pay primary attention to the situation in Syria, the visa regime between European countries and Russia and other relevant issues. President Vladimir Putin will chair the Russian delegation at the summit.

President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy and Chairman of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso will chair the EU delegation. The Russia-EU summit will last for two days. 

According to Putin's assistant Yury Ushakov, the participants of the forum will pay primary attention to the Syrian problem. The forum will also pay special attention to such issues as cooperation in the field of human right protection and international security.
