Italian man dies during family party in Russia's St. Petersburg

The police of St. Petersburg clarify the circumstances that led to the death of 42-year-old Italian citizen. His body was found in an apartment in the city center.

The body of the Italian citizen born in 1970 was found in an apartment of the building on Tyushin Street. The man was temporarily registered at that address. The apartment itself belongs to a 51-year-old resident of St. Petersburg.

According to preliminary reports, 42-year-old Italian and his wife arrived in St. Petersburg on December 22nd on a tourist visa to see the New Year in with relatives. He was going to return home on January 6th.

After drinking some alcohol during the party, the man suddenly had a heart attack. The relatives called the ambulance, but when the doctors arrived, the Italian had already died.

The foreigner's body was sent to a morgue. Forensic experts will establish the cause of death of the Italian man.
