US police shoot children for playing with toy guns
The police of California shot 13-year-old boy with a toy Kalashnikov assault rifle in his hands. The tragedy occurred near the house where the boy, Andy Lopez Cruz, lived.
According to police, bailiffs repeatedly asked the child to put the gun down and opened fire, when he did not obey. Afterwards, they handcuffed the child and pronounced him dead a little later.
The murder took place in front of the boy's friends and family. The officers opened fire to kill the boy, they did not try to stop the boy by shooting him in his the leg or arm.
The Kalashnikov gun proved to be a toy; a plastic pistol was found in the boy's pocket. The officer, who shot the child dead, said that at one point it seemed to him that the child began to raise his weapon.
