Elite horses and bulls killed in massive fire

A fire destroyed a farm with elite horses near the city of Ufa, Bashkortostan. As many as 20 horses of English breed and bulls burned alive in the fire. According to preliminary estimates, the damage made up about 40 million rubles. Stable owners are convinced that it was arson.

The terrible fire caught people by surprise. The main barn caught fire at about 6:00 a.m. Farmers noticed the fire first, but it was too late: the farm building collapsed, thick smoke was billowing from the barn. They called for help and tried to put out the fire on their own, although to no avail, Vesti.ru said. The fire was spreading so rapidly that there was nothing and nobody to rescue before the arrival of the fire brigade.

Twenty horses and a dozen of other domestic animals were killed in the fire. The farm owner, Hassan Idiyatullin, still can not believe that he has lost his best horses - racing champions of the world and Bashkortostan.

According to police, the stable, where the expensive horses were staying, was not equipped with fire alarms. Hassan Idiyatullin is convinced that somebody set his farm ablaze, because the fire occurred on the perimeter of the building, said NTV.

President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has visited the scene of the incident and promised to help rebuild the farm, adds RIA Novy Region.
