Russian officials negotiate humanitarian convoy aid delivery to Ukraine

 

Representatives of the Russian EMERCOM accompanying humanitarian convoys, conduct coordination with the Ukrainian side regarding the delivery of humanitarian aid to residents of eastern Ukraine.

"Currently, the main issue associated with the transfer of humanitarian assistance is  linked with the position of the Ukrainian side. Our party is ready to provide all documents and other information relating to the goods," RIA Novosti quoted an unnamed official. According to the source of the agency, after the issue is settled with the representatives of Ukraine, the humanitarian aid will be handed over to the Red Cross that may act as mediators in the process.

The column of white KamAZ trucks loaded with humanitarian aid was parked near the town of Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, the Rostov region. The humanitarian aid was demonstrated to representatives of Russian and foreign media on Friday.

The column of 280 white KamAZ trucks carries about 2 thousand tons of humanitarian aid: food, including 400 tons of cereals, 100 tons of sugar, 62 tons of baby food, 54 tons of medical equipment and medicines, 12,000 sleeping bags and 69 power plants of various capacities.
