An Automobile And An Armoured Car With Militiamen Blown Up In Dagestan - There Are No Victims

An automobile and an armoured car with members of the Militia Special Task Force (OMON) have been blown up in Dagestan (a republic on the North Caucasus bordering on Chechnya). As RIA Novosti was told on Monday in the republican law enforcement bodies, nobody was injured in the incident. The explosion took place on Sunday evening in one of the districts of Makhachkala. An unidentified explosive device was staffed with nails and metal fragments. The power of the explosion equalled 200 grammes of TNT. The Interior Minister, officials from the Prosecutor's Office and the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia visited the site of the incident. A criminal case (Article 205 /terrorism/ of the Russian Criminal Law) has been launched.
