Michael Jackson's Autopsy Results Completed
The Los Angeles County coroner's office has completed its autopsy on Michael Jackson but the results will be withheld pending the outcome of the police investigation into the singer's death.
"The LAPD has requested that the Jackson autopsy findings regarding the cause and manner of death remain confidential," police said in a statement. "The extension of security measures will help maintain the integrity of the investigation and allow investigators from LAPD's Robbery Homicide Division, as well as our partner law enforcement agencies to continue their investigation." , Seattle Post Intelligencer reports.
Meanwhile, explains Jackson’s attorney Michael Branca who is overseeing the singer’s estate: ”Our goal is to work with partners who treat Michael’s legacy with dignity and respect, while allowing us to substantially build the value of his estate for the benefit of Mrs. Katherine Jackson , Michael’s three children and the charitable causes that meant so much to him during his life.” , Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.
Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff said today he was appointing a lawyer, known as a guardian ad litem, to represent the children because of disputes between the estate's administrators and Jackson’s mother, the other major beneficiary of his lucrative music empire.
Lawyers for Katherine Jackson, 79, oppose certain elements of merchandising and memorabilia contracts hammered out by the estate administrators, John Branca and John McClain. The judge said today that he will ask for input from the children’s guardian before deciding whether to approve the contracts , Los Angeles Times reports.
