Ivanovo region helps flood victims in Russia's Krasnodar

The authorities of Russia's Ivanovo region collect humanitarian aid for flood victims in the Krasnodar region (Kuban). The Governor of the Ivanovo Region, Mikhail Men, appealed to residents and businesses in the region to assist flood victims in the Kuban. The collection point for humanitarian assistance in the city of Ivanovo opened July 9 in the morning, Revolution Square Building 4.

Mikhail Men expressed sincere gratitude to the residents and public organizations of the region that immediately responded to the tragedy in the Kuban. "I am grateful to our residents, who responded to this terrible disaster. In social networks, Ivanovo residents began to create special groups to support the victims, many tweeted me with a desire to help the people of Kuban,"  said the Governor.

He supported the initiative of public organizations from the All-Russian People's Front to organize the collection point for assistance to victims of floods in the Krasnodar region. It is located in the city of Ivanovo, Revolution Square Building 4. The point is open from 9:00 to 20:00. The victims require personal care products, medicines, bedding, baby items and household utensils in the first place.

Mikhail Men appealed to the representatives of the textile business in the region to provide all possible assistance to flood victims. The head of the region requested Deputy Chairman of the Regional Government Paul Konkov should coordinate the work. "I am confident that our textile companies will be able to help the affected residents with linens, home textiles and children's knitwear," said the Governor. He stressed that he was taking the issue under personal control.

Four Ivanovo residents went to the Kuban on July 9 to the camp of volunteers to help victims. Ivanovo region Duma deputy Mikhail Shore is among the participants. "At night of July 9th we will be in the Kuban region in the camp of volunteers. First of all, our help is needed in clearing the rubble of the city, " said Shore.
