Attackers of Karachi airport eliminated
The territory of the International Airport of Karachi, Pakistan, which was attacked on June 9, has been cleansed; all attackers have been eliminated, a spokesperson for the army of Pakistan, Asim Badzhval, wrote on his Twitter.
Several units of the Pakistani army were sent to the International Airport in Karachi, which was attacked by up to 12 militants. As a result of the shootout, all the attackers were killed. several other people were injured.
According to preliminary information, the militants penetrated into the airport using forged documents and then opened fire, killing at least five people, four of them members of airport security. All roads to the airport were blocked and flights canceled. The airport is expected to return to normal work by midday of June 9.
