New World Order Aims to Take Kaliningrad

The Kaliningrad enclave is moving further and further from Russia

The issue of the Russian Kaliningrad enclave was debated in the Russian parliament. The discussion was called “The Kaliningrad region: international and geopolitical aspects of Russia's national security.”

As the participants of the hearing pointed out, the rapid development of global processes and the new world order attached special importance to the issue of the Kaliningrad enclave. This question is currently perceived from the point of view of the territorial integrity and state sovereignty of the Russian Federation against the threat of globalization.

As was said during the discussion, globalists are trying to bring Russia down to the level of a third-world country. One of their methods is to divide Russia. They have started with the Kaliningrad region, since the region is actually a Russian enclave.

The participants of the hearing stressed that extremism, separatistism, and other forms of subversive activities are growing in the region. Such activities have only one goal: to separate Kalingrad from Russia. All participants agreed that Russia must stand up against this threat.

The Kaliningrad region is of great geo-political, military, strategic, and economic significance. The region is the most vulnerable piece of the Russian Federation, since it is not a geographic part of it. If Lithuania and Poland join the European Union, and if the Baltic countries join NATO, then the national integrity of Russia will be greatly threatened.

When Poland became a NATO member, the armed forces of the alliance quickly deployed their troops along the borders of the Kaliningrad region. The NATO command is currently working on military plans to settle conflicts. They even practiced deploying weapons of mass destruction in response to agression with the use of conventional arms. NATO currently sits next to Russia's borders along the Kaliningrad region.

In connection with these facts, the participants of the hearing pointed out the necessity to develop a complex of measures in order to strengthen the territorial sovereignty of Russia. The socioeconomic constituent of this program will be especially important in this respect. Many things will depend on dealing with the economic and social problems of the enclave.

The deputies recommended that the Russian government conduct negotiations with Lithuania pertaining to visa-free Russian transit via the territory of the Kaliningrad region. If Lithuania refuses to sign transit agreement with Russia, then Russia will have to take adequate political and economic measures in return. First, the Russian Federation might pull out from the border agreement with Lithuania and conclude another one, which would meet current requirements. Second, Lithuania will have to pay in full its debts to Russia, which appeared after the collapse of the USSR.
