The hunt is on for Christians in Pakistan

Another act of terrorism took place in Pakistan today. The object of terror was once again a Christian church. As police officers reported, four armed men rushed into the Christian missionary school in the town of Murree, not far from Islamabad. The men opened fire, killing six people, security guards and clergymen. Nothing has been reported about the number of the people wounded, but two people were reportedly hospitalized. It was also said that there were also Muslims among those who was killed or injured.

The criminals quickly disappeared. Police did not say who was the organizer and executor of this act of terrorism, although it is not really hard to guess: this was apparently done by radical Muslims. However, none of their organizations have yet claimed the responsibility.

Another attack on a Christian church took place in Islamabad in March of the current year. Five people were killed; they were mostly foreigners; dozens of people were wounded. France, the USA, and several other countries closed their consulate offices in Pakistan, since the governments of those countries were unable to guarantee the safety of their foreign citizens and diplomatic missions.

It should be noted that today’s act of terrorism was committed after the Pakistani government announced the establishment of a special service, which is meant to guarantee the safety of foreigners.

One can hardly hope that the terrorists that shot the Christian church in Murree will soon be found, because no one has been punished for the last attack on a Christian church in March.
