British people do not support Afghan war that much

The opinion poll, carried out by the Guardian newspaper (UK) shows that the support of the British people towards the war in Afghanistan dropped by 12% - from 74% to 62%. Only 51% of women and 54% of elderly people support the war (two weeks ago these figures were 68% and 71% respectively). The support of the military actions among the British men reduced by 4%. 54% of the respondents would like to have a break in the bombing. 29% is against it. It should be mentioned that the number of those supporting the war is going down even now, when there has not been any kind of the ground operation in Afghanistan. There will maybe no such operation at all: it is much more convenient to count on the wide support of the public opinion at home, bombing defenseless women and children of another country.
