Malay Muslim officials from United Malays National Organisation staged a protest outside the US Embassy on Monday condemning recent American and British missile strikes on Iraq.
More than 20 UMMO officials mounted the protest at the US embassy in Kuala Lumpur, and vowed that they would not hesitate to take more "radical measures" if another strike was perpetrated against Iraq.
UMMO members chanted "Down with America" and "Bush is Satan" at the
embassy's gates. Some held up posters with the words, "Like father, like son - murderer".
Mr Zulkifli Mohammad Alwi, assistant secretary of the party's youth wing, said the group would consider "more radical measures" in the event of another allied attack on Iraq.
Raids on air defence sites around Baghdad last Friday were the first
military operation ordered by US President George W. Bush. According to Iraqi news reports, the air strikes killed three people.
