Answering the question of the experts of the Institute of Public Opinion Research “Qaulitas”, “who is the best writer of the century?”, people of the Russian town of Voronezh mentioned Russian writer and Nobel Prize winner Mikhail Sholokhov. The second place in this rating took Alexander Solzhenitsin, Lev Tolstoy was the third, Mikhail Bulgakov was the second. Alexandra Marinina, modern author of detective novels, well-known in Russia now, got into the ten of the best writers, too, IMA Press announces. In fact, the inhabitants of Voronezh forgot Nobel Prize winners Boris Pasternak and Ivan Bunin, who, by the way, comes from Voronezh. Andrew Platonov, who was also born in Boronezh, was not mentioned, either. People of Voronezh did not mention any writers.
