Russia's Su-35S shows art of aerobatics at Le Bourget

Russian multi-purpose fighter jet Su-35S that has never been presented abroad, successfully performed its first demonstration flight at the air show in Le Bourget, near Paris.

Before the audience of the prestigious airshow, the 4 + + generation fighter, created by Sukhoi Design Bureau, demonstrated aerobatic stunts, including the spin.

The plane, which attracts a lot of attention of potential buyers, bears a resemblance to its predecessor, the Su-27, but the new aircraft has been thoroughly modernized. Mikhail Pogosyan, the President of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) said that the complex avionics of the Su-35S was capable of detecting targets with the help of a radar at a distance of more than 300 km. A highly powerful engine of the fighter improves its maneuverability.

The Su-35S is equipped with a new enhanced glider. Due to peculiarities of its design, the aircraft has neither brake flap, nor horizontal canards. According to developers, Su-35S is difficult to detect on radar screens due to the use of composite materials in the construction. The shipments of Su-35S to the Russian Air Force have already been launched. By the end of 2015, the Russian Army is to receive 48 of these aircraft.

Russia's aviation enjoys success at Le Bourget. The demonstration flight of the Russian Ka-52 "Alligator" helicopter took place at the prestigious air show a few days ago.  Officials representing the delegation of Russian Helicopters said that the organizers of the air show pointed out the flight of the helicopter.

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu arrived at Le Bourget on Tuesday, June 18th. The minister will examine the stands of the Russian delegation, including the exposition of Rosoboronexport, Russian Helicopters and UAC. The minister paid a private visit to the air show. Shoigu wants to see the achievements of the world of aviation, and see how Russian pilots demonstrate their advantages in the sky over Le Bourget.
